     Later this month I will be putting on a workshop for a writer's guild at a local library. I am always interested in helping other writers learn the craft whether it is writing romances, mystery/suspense, or my favorite, romantic suspense. Or, for those who want to write just for the fun of it.
     Keeping a journal is a good way to spur creative juices and create fun and exciting places to visit. It's also a way to begin your memoirs. I have a book I've been putting together of family stories. For instance, I remember my mother telling me about when her family would go to Grand Portage to pick berries. My grandfather would have to have the car overhauled, buy new tires, and change the oil before they left. They would have to pack a lunch for the day long trip. Today, the same trip takes only two and a half hours! My mother was a great storyteller!
